We've recently added to possibility to have a second driver for your hire.

This is a beta feature and the use case will be fairly limited for now.

Any additional drivers must be verified Hiyacar members, who meet the same member criteria as all other members.

For the insurance to remain valid:

👯 The main driver needs to be in the car at all times whilst the second driver is behind the wheel

🚗 The main driver will need to do the pick-up & drop-off processes

📱 If your hire is for a Quickstart car, the virtual key needs to be created on the main driver's phone

✅ If you've already booked a car, you can contact support via live chat and they will be to amend your hiya

💷 Adding an additional driver increases the default insurance cost by 25%

💸 There are no other additional fees!
