As of the 1st March 2023, owners will need to purchase their own breakdown & recovery policy that covers the vehicle and any driver.
If owners do not wish to purchase this type of policy then they will receive 60% of the rental revenue instead of 70%.
Recovery mileage is a significant cost to the business and it is unsustainable for Hiyacar to continue to pay these when the main cause is generally wear and tear of owners' vehicles.
