We understand that the application fee might seem like an additional expense for you, but we want to assure you that you will get the fee back as credits if your application is successful. These credits can be used towards your future bookings with us within 1 month of your registration. We take the verification process very seriously because it is an essential part of ensuring the safety and security of our members.
In the event that your application is unsuccessful, we offer multiple free attempts to apply if you meet our driver criteria. This means that you will not need to pay the application fee again and can try multiple times until you are approved.
However, if you are not eligible for our service and still decide to apply, we will not be able to refund the application fee. This is because we will have already incurred the costs of verifying your details.
Here are the various verification checks we go through:
Identity check: We run an identity check at the address you provided to verify that you are who you say you are.
Identity & Address matching: It is our responsibility to ensure that you live at the address you have provided and that your date of birth is accurate.
CCJ check: We run a CCJ (County Court Judgment) check to ensure that you have good credit as we do not ask for a deposit when renting on Hiyacar.
Licence authenticity check: We run a licence authenticity check to ensure that your photocard is genuine.
Driving record check: We run a driving record check to verify that the information you provided is correct and to see your previous endorsements. This information is then used to calculate your insurance premium.
CUE check: We run a CUE check, which retrieves any previous driving-related claims you may have made. This information is also used to calculate your insurance premium.
Realness check: We run a realness check by taking a live selfie to ensure that you are the person applying and not using someone else's identity.
All of these verification checks are necessary to ensure that our members are who they say they are and have a good driving history. This helps us maintain the safety and security of our community.
